We have developed a GPS/GIS Based Minefield Recording System which can be used to record location of mines which are laid manually , so that the mines can be safely retrieved whenever required .
M.A.P.S is designed as a simple hand held device that can record or find details of mines and minefields laid by soldiers . This equipment enables soldiers to steer clear of friendly mines during operations as well as modify the location of mines if they are shifted due to changing weather conditions.
